1. What This Website Is
Eddy County Criminal History is a private, informational resource. It is not part of Eddy County, a New Mexico court, a police department, NMDPS, NMCD, or another government body. It describes official access routes under laws such as the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act and NMSA 1978 §29-10-6, but it is not itself a public-record custodian or state criminal-history repository.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Use must be lawful and must not impair the service or harm another person. A visitor agrees not to:
- Violate federal, New Mexico, or local law
- Threaten, stalk, harass, or intimidate anyone
- Use content for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated decision
- Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
- Run bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools
- Interfere with performance or another visitor's access
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
Registry or record information may not be used to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, discriminate, or support vigilante conduct. The New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry exists for public safety notice. Conduct involving harassment, stalking, assault, battery, property damage, or unlawful computer access may carry consequences under New Mexico law. A discrepancy should be reported to the sheriff or NMDPS rather than pursued through personal contact.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
Neither this resource nor its content is a consumer reporting agency or consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitors may not use the site or a linked tool to make a decision about:
- Employment or continued employment
- A renter, applicant, lease, or other housing matter
- Credit, lending, or insurance eligibility
- A license, benefit, or program where consumer-reporting law applies
- Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA
When an authorized official background check is needed, use the applicable NMDPS process or a properly compliant provider.

Unless another owner is identified, site text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Eddy County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, altered, republished, distributed, or used to create derivative material without written permission.
9. Limits on Our Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Eddy County Criminal History is not liable for loss or damage arising from site use, inability to use the site, reliance on its content, or use of an outside service reached through a link.
10. Indemnification
A visitor agrees to defend and hold the site harmless from claims, demands, proceedings, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor's misuse of the service or violation of these terms.
11. Governing Law
New Mexico law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute connected with site use must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in New Mexico.

These terms may be revised. A new version takes effect when posted on this page, and continued use after posting constitutes acceptance of that version.
13. Cutting Off Access
Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without advance notice, including when use appears unlawful, abusive, automated, or harmful to the service.
14. Severability
If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited only as much as needed, and all remaining provisions will continue in effect.
